At 40, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to score goal after goal with Al-Nassr, but it is now far from the field that he is preparing the rest of his career. Because behind the image of the tireless competitor, the Portuguese has been building for several years an entrepreneurial empire that extends well beyond sport. And its latest initiative, announced in Spain, confirms this surprising development: an incursion into a universe where exclusivity reigns supreme.
An ultra-select private club in the heart of Madrid
According to the Madrid press, Ronaldo is preparing to open the Vega Private Members Club, an establishment nestled at 88 Lagasca Street, in the very chic “Golden Mile” district. The concept contrasts radically with traditional places: phones prohibited, photos prohibited, total confidentiality. The club promises to become a space where people come to work, meet and relax, all in a discreet and upscale setting. The initiative is carried out with the entrepreneur Íñigo Onieva and Mabel Hospitality, a company in which Ronaldo is associated.
By day, the location will offer private offices, meeting rooms, co-working spaces and even a podcast studio. Come evening, it will transform into a true social haven with exclusive restaurants, specialty bars and wine experiences. Three zones will make up the establishment: Casa Vega, a contemporary bistro, Vega Restaurant, more gastronomic, and Toto, a chic Italian restaurant.
A high-priced membership for a hand-picked clientele
This new project stands out above all for its membership model. The most prestigious level, accessible by invitation only, requires a one-time payment of €15,000 for lifetime access. More affordable plans start at €2,400 per year, with an entry fee of €2,000. An assumed premium positioning, which targets a clientele combining influencers, managers, artists and Madrid entrepreneurs.
For Ronaldo, this opening is part of a broader strategy: anticipating his retirement. In a recent interview, he confided that he had been preparing for “life after” since he was 25, wishing to devote more time to his family, his passions and his businesses.
While his contract with Al-Nassr runs until 2027, the former Real Madrid star is already shaping his future. And if he has not yet knelt down to say goodbye to football, Madrid is already preparing to welcome the next chapter of the CR7 era.
