The legal case between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain will experience an important new chapter this Monday, with a hearing at the Paris industrial tribunal. The Real Madrid striker is demanding payment of 55 million euros in unpaid debts as well as the reclassification of his fixed-term contract into a permanent contract. According to a judicial source cited by theAFP and relayed by The Parisianthe hearing will be held “directly to the judging office”without going through the usual conciliation phase, “because Kylian Mbappé requests the reclassification of his CDD into a CDI”. The Parisian club and the player’s entourage have so far refused to comment, as the final decision could take several months given the deadlines in force at the industrial tribunal.

This dispute dates back to the 2023-2024 season, when Mbappé was sidelined by PSG for refusing an extension and wishing to see the end of his contract. The club ensures that its reintegration has taken place “at the end of an agreement between the two parties stipulating that the player had to give up part of the sums due at the end of his contract, to preserve the financial health of the club”what the Mbappé camp describes as “fantasy”. The player, who joined the Merengues in the summer of 2024 without transfer compensation, contests any agreement and demands the full 55 million euros in unpaid bonuses and salaries. For its part, PSG speaks of a “fantastic story”. The protective seizure obtained by Mbappé in April 2025 was canceled by the courts on May 26. This hearing at the Industrial Tribunal comes four months after Mbappé withdrew his criminal complaint for moral harassment against PSG, filed in May, while the investigation was still underway this summer. The two parties also clashed before the Professional Football League (LFP) and the French Football Federation (FFF), which were unable to enforce their decisions favorable to the player due to an orientation hearing requested by the club before the Paris judicial court, initially scheduled for May and postponed to a later date.
