The Serie A Sunday multiplex offered two contrasting scenarios between Genoa and Bologna. At Luigi Ferraris, the duel between Genoa and Fiorentina ended in a spectacular draw (2-2) marked by the debut on the benches of Daniele De Rossi, successor to Patrick Vieira, and Paolo Vanoli, appointed after the departure of Stefano Pioli. Although both teams showed offensive intentions, they were unable to decide between themselves at the end of a clash full of twists and turns. Leo Østigård quickly opened the scoring for the Rossoblù (15th), before Albert Guðmundsson, from the penalty spot (20th), brought Fiorentina back into the game. In the second half, Roberto Piccoli (57th) allowed the Viola to take the advantage, but Lorenzo Colombo (60th) equalized immediately, concluding a great collective action.

Despite several opportunities on both sides late in the match, goalkeepers Leali and De Gea preserved the draw. A logical sharing, but which leaves the two new coaches with still a lot of work to stabilize their teams. In Bologna, Vincenzo Italiano’s troops responded perfectly after a successful start to the season by signing a convincing success against Antonio Conte’s Napoli (2-0). The Rossoblù imposed their intensity and their high pressure to thwart the unrecognizable 2025 champions. Thijs Dallinga opened the scoring upon returning from the locker room (50th) with an unstoppable cross shot, before defender Jhon Lucumí sealed the victory with a header from a corner (66th). Bologna climbs to 5th position, while Napoli, now 2nd, leaves the lead to AC Milan.
