Could Luis Campos repeat his northern masterstroke? After having managed to attract Lucas Chevalier into his net during the last summer transfer window, the sports advisor of Paris Saint-Germain would have set his sights on a new gem from Domaine de Luchin. An offensive which promises to be devastating for Olivier Létang and which risks emptying Lille’s safes a little more of their most precious treasures. The capital club never stops eyeing the gems made in LOSC.
Ayyoub Bouaddi, PSG’s new obsession
In the Parisian viewfinder, a phenomenon which has panicked all of Europe for several months. Aged only 18, Ayyoub Bouaddi has established himself as one of the best prospects in French football this season. Having become the second youngest French player to start in the European Cup, the Franco-Moroccan midfielder impresses with his exceptional maturity which contrasts with his young age. Against Real Madrid in the Champions League last season, he completed 43 of his 44 passes, offering a recital of technical mastery that caused a sensation among European recruiters. Thomas Meunier does not hesitate to affirm that he will not last long in Lille.
The performances of the native of Senlis amply justify the interest of the biggest clubs on the continent. Capable of evolving as a sentry or relay runner, Bouaddi combines intelligence of placement, impressive volume of races and rare technical accuracy. With 18 appearances under Paulo Fonseca then 24 additional matches under Bruno Genesio last season, the midfielder reached a milestone this year by definitively establishing himself in the Lille eleven. His coach now recognizes that he no longer needs to be spared and can compete at the highest level. His recovery qualities and his serenity with the ball make him an ideal profile to integrate into the Parisian environment.
A European battle for the jewel of LOSC
Competition nevertheless promises to be fierce for Paris. No less than twelve European clubs are monitoring the Bouaddi file, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. The Red Devils are even the most active club on this issue according to several English sources. LOSC, aware of the financial potential of its player, hopes to obtain between 35 and 45 million euros to let its nugget go, an amount similar to that collected for Leny Yoro. Olivier Létang is also trying to extend his midfielder’s contract, which does not expire until June 2027, to avoid finding himself in a weak position.
For PSG and Luis Campos, the acquisition of Bouaddi would fit perfectly into the strategy of rejuvenating the workforce led by Luis Enrique. The Spanish technician, who is particularly fond of promising young talents, would welcome the arrival of a player capable of integrating with Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz and João Neves in the Parisian midfield. If the leaders of the capital managed to convince Lille and the player during the next summer transfer window, it would be a new blow for LOSC who would lose two of their finest talents in less than a year. The verdict will come in a few months, but Paris seems determined to strike hard.
