Olympique de Marseille received a radical sanction. Supporters of the Marseille club strongly contest it.

L’Marseille Olympic is fixed: the Marseille club will have to do without supporters for the trip to Auxerre, scheduled for this Saturday for the 11th day of Ligue 1.
The Dijon administrative court dismissed the club in this case. A decision which follows multiple episodes of excesses in this French championship poster, at the Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps or in its surroundings in the streets of Auxerre.

Pablo Longoria, president of OM.

OM hoped for leniency from the courts in relation to this travel ban, but this will not be the case, despite the attempts of several Marseille supporters groups to annul the first decision and the support of the club.

A high-tension match

For its part, Olympique de Marseille simply confirmed this decision in an official press release: “Olympian supporters are prohibited from traveling to the Abbé-Deschamps stadium for the AJ Auxerre–OM match”we can read. The AJA has not communicated on this decision.

The Yonne prefecture had justified its initial sanction by the altercations which caused around fifteen injuries last season. If OM and AJA have no dispute, the results of last season – two victories for the Burgundian club – may have fueled a tense climate within the community of Marseille supporters. These two matches were also marked by the respective bloodshed of Roberto De Zerbi in November 2024 and Pablo Longoria in February 2025.
