Paris FC is in trouble. Opposed to FC Nantes, the promoted side conceded another defeat at home (2-1), a month after their setback against Strasbourg. In four matches played at Jean Bouin, the capital club, which is ranked 11e place in the Ligue 1 standings, has only two victories, against FC Metz (3-2) and against Lorient (2-0).
Stéphane Gilli's men were nevertheless able to count on the support of the Parisian public. Each time, Jean Bouin was indeed fully booked and this is particularly true in the boxes. The 19,600-seat enclosure has 5 lounges and 30 boxes, for a total of 2,000 VIP seats.
“In Charléty, not to mention the partners, we could count on around twenty companies which had VIP places. Now there are more than 350, explained Frédérik Joly, commercial director of Paris FC, to RMC. This ranges from lawyers to accountants, from construction to large groups. Some only want 2-3 places in each match, others have big boxes. This is the case for the Rungis wholesalers who have the largest of 42 places, which is a lot. »
David Beckham requested seats
And several personalities are seduced. “We just met Manuel Valls, and he wants to come against OL. We also have great athletes but we are not looking for celebrities at all costs. We want a basket in the image of Paris FC, also with lesser-known, more modest people,” confided President Pierre Ferracci. And according to RMC, the PFC has also received requests from abroad like David Beckham and Gary Lineker.
“The basket is very small too, only 63 places exactly. We have already welcomed Valérie Pécresse, Rachida Dati, Ophélie Meunier and Pascal Elbé,” revealed Fréderik Joly, who could also have cited Jürgen Klopp, leader of Red Bull, but also Xavier Niel or the journalist Thomas Sotto, long-time supporter of the PFC.
