There
Champions League has its effect again. Across the four corners of the continent, several big names were on stage this Tuesday evening. While all eyes were on Germany with
the trip of Paris Saint-Germain to Frankfurt (7-2)it was Barça, beaten before the break by the reigning champion (1-2), who opened the ball against Olympiakos.

Buoyed by the return of its virtuoso Lamine Yamal for two matches, Hansi Flick's team did not tremble to achieve a second success in this phase of the League.
The Blaugrana scored a clean and flawless victory thanks to a great Firmin Lopez, author of a hat-trick (6-1).

A little later in the evening, the clash of the day pitted Arsenal against Atlético de Madrid. A nice opposition of styles between Mikel Arteta's team and Diego Simeone's approach. But there was no match in this balance of power. So surprising against Real in the Madrid derby (5-2), the Colchoneros did not exist at the Emirates. Author of a double in two minutes (68th, 70th), Gyökeres responded to the criticism, while Gabriel (57th) and Martinelli (64th) launched a decisive highlight. 4-0, final score, and a reassuring success for Arsenal.

Manchester City does not tremble

Another English cador, Manchester City did the job by winning on the pitch of Villarreal (2-0). We were waiting for the inevitable Erling Haaland. The Norwegian goleador struck again by breaking the deadlock (17th), before Bernado Silva gave the Sky Blues a little more security before half-time (40th). Far from its great years, City is making its merry way.

In the other matches of the day, Inter Milan held their place against Union Saint-Gilloise (4-0), while Newcastle avoided the trap set by Benfica (3-0). The duel between PSV Eindhoven and Naples largely turned in favor of the Dutch (6-2), and Borussia Dortmund imposed its law on the pitch in Copenhagen (4-2). We predicted a rainy start to autumn, which resulted in this downpour of goals. After a day of Ligue 1 with 40 goals in 9 matches, this evening of C1 totaled 43, confirming this pleasant fashion of river scores which trickle down to the four corners of Europe. For this one, there is no question of taking out the umbrellas. Hats off to the artists, we want more.
