The “lawn gate” is still at the heart of the debates. While the clash of this first day of Ligue 1 between PSG and Rennes had to be relocated to Brittany at the last minute due to the state of the Parisian pitch, the location of the return leg is already a subject. Guest on the show Bartoli Time on RMC this Sunday, Rennes president Arnaud Pouille reaffirmed his intention to see the meeting continue at Roazhon Park.
He explains that the last minute organization of the first leg at home will cause a drop in revenue for the club compared to a usual Ligue 1 match. “Yes of course. At a minimum, around 500,000 euros. This is almost 25-30% less revenue compared to a normal match. There were constraints, we notified the competitions commission from the outset”explains Pouille. On the club’s desire to host the return match, he adds: “yes, of course, we can do it legally and we will do everything to do it.”
