The first Clasico of the season is in two weeks, but Barcelona are approaching it with several injury concerns.

Joan Garcia will certainly be absent, while doubts hover over Raphinha, Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo. On the other hand, there is better news regarding Lamine Yamal.

Lamine Yamal suffered a relapse of his pubic injury sustained in early September.

Following Barcelona's Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, it was confirmed that Lamine Yamal suffered a relapse of his pubic injury sustained in early September. He was withdrawn from last weekend's crushing defeat in Seville, and will also miss Spain's two World Cup qualifiers.

However, it is hoped that he will be back next weekend for Barcelona's match against Girona, and according to Diario AS, it is now certain that Lamine Yamal will receive the medical green light to play in the Catalan derby, barring any setbacks.

Resumption of training on Wednesday

So far, Lamine Yamal's recovery has gone smoothly, and we hope this continues until next weekend. He is expected to take part in training with his FC Barcelona teammates on Wednesday, before playing against Girona as a substitute.

If Lamine Yamal does not present any problems after his match against Girona, he is expected to start against Olympiakos in FC Barcelona's next Champions League match, a few days later. He would then play 65 to 70 minutes, which should allow him to play without restriction against Real Madrid during the Clasico.

Barcelona are counting heavily on Lamine Yamal for the trip to the Santiago Bernabéu as their chances of continuing their unbeaten run in the Clasico will increase as long as he is able to play.
