New judicial episode for Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. The President of PSG and BeIN Sports was indirectly targeted in a dispute between the Qatari channel to a former employee. This Thursday, the Paris industrial tribunal council rendered its decision: if moral harassment has not been recognized, BeIN Sports is however heavily condemned to pay more than 300,000 euros to the former NAK assistant, mainly for overtime unpaid.

The case dates back to 2022, the year of the dismissal of the employee, who had worked to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi through her different functions. In her complaint, she denounced moral harassment linked to work overload, gradual sidelines and burn-out. Accusations that the judges did not retain, believing that there was no sufficient evidence to qualify the facts of harassment.

On the side of BeIN Sports, the defense screams victory on the merits:
“The merits of the dismissal has been fully validated”said the chain lawyer in a statement released on Thursday and relayed by RMCwhile reserving the right to call on the financial aspect. Because if harassment is dismissed, justice has nevertheless recognized a blatant breach of the employer in his obligations, in particular concerning the non-payment of overtime and compensatory rest.

Moral harassment

For his part, the former assistant's lawyer praised a
“Victory on figures” and insisted on the immediate execution of payment. For him, this judgment proves that his client worked well without receiving compensation due, even if harassment has not been recognized. He does not exclude calling on to gain their case on other points.

Thus, the judgment did not recognize moral harassment denounced against Nasser Al-Khelaïfi the employee, hired by BeIN Sports in 2012 as executive assistant to Yousef al-Obaidly, had become in 2014 the personal assistant of NAK in his various mandates, in particular PSG and in tennis.
