Olympique Lyonnais is in danger. Dravated in Ligue 2 by the DNCG on Tuesday, the club already seems to play its survival in the coming days. As soon as the announcement of the sanction by the financial gendarme of the League, the club has indeed appealed and the time is now for general mobilization to set up a file capable of reassuring the DNCG appeal commission.

If OL is still awaiting the DNCG motivations concerning this demotion, its leaders already have some ideas on the issue. According to the team, Ares, the lender to whom John Textor borrowed 425 million euros to buy OL, would thus have sent too late proof than part of the sum recovered in the sale of Crystal Palace, around € 40 million, would be allocated to the short -term operation of OL. Also load to prove an additional cash supply of € 70 million.

But OL's demotion highlighted another problem for OL: John Textor, its president, has become too divisive and his voice no longer seems to be carrying during his hearings in front of the League. So much so that he could take a step back to calm the debates.

John Textor ready to fade

Despite the crisis in the Rhone club, the American businessman can always count on the support of other shareholders, including billionaires Michele Kang and Jean-Pierre Conte, who continue to block by his side.

Nevertheless, according to the team, John Textor “Would have already taken a few steps of perspective, seeking around him a figure other than his to push forward in the next stages of appeal, in order to appease exchanges and succeed in the rescue of the club. »»

Michael Gerlinger, current director of Eagle football, could thus take braid. Unless Ares imposes the return of Laurent Prud'homme, who keeps the ears of the American lender.
