It's a little sentence that caused a lot of ink to flow last night. Rayan Cherki, the only non -Parisian field player present in the eleven type of the Ligue 1 season, spoke about this distinction with humor, evoking his good relations with certain PSG players, such as Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola: “ I know them all, Ousmane is a good friend, Bradley too ». Asked, thereafter, about a possible adaptation to the Parisian locker room, Cherki elected, while keeping a smile: ” If it is a decisive pass for the PSG sports management? I don't know… ».

A skillful way of not closing a door, without opening a Paris verse. But according to our information, Paris Saint-Germain does not plan to position itself on the Rayan Cherki file this summer. Despite a brilliant season with Olympique Lyonnais – 12 goals and 19 assists in 43 matches – the young French international hope is not in the priorities of the capital's club. PSG explores other offensive profiles and does not intend to make a offer for Lyonnais at this stage.

A future far from Paris

This trend confirms that, despite its talent and the recurrent departure rumors, Cherki will undoubtedly have to consider a future far from the Parc des Princes. This time, the Parisian hypothesis seems definitively dismissed. Last summer, Rayan Cherki could have joined PSG: an agreement was close to being found between Paris and OL around 15 million euros, and the player was preparing to join the Luis Enrique project. Finally, the transfer had not materialized for several reasons, and the 21 -year -old attacking midfielder had remained in Lyon.

Located at the start of the season pending its contract extension until 2026, Cherki was in full uncertainty about his future between Rhône and Saône. But far from bending, he was able to bounce back spectacularly after this famous lease extension, chaining high -level performances to sign the best season of his young career: 12 goals and 19 assists in 43 games with the Gones. A remarkable rise in power, which today relaunches the interest of several major European clubs … but therefore not that of PSG.
