Luka Modric has lifted the veil on the reasons for his extension with AC Milan. In an interview given to La Gazzetta dello Sportthe Croatian midfielder explained that he had always intended to continue the adventure, while wishing to wait before officially committing in order to assess his physical state and his motivation.
“I always intended to stay another year. I could have signed in December, but I wanted to listen to my body. I needed to understand if I still had the same rage to win, the same desire, the same passion to continue playing”confided the 2018 Ballon d’Or. Convinced of still having the necessary resources and touched by the confidence of the club, the Croatian ensures that the support of management and supporters was decisive in his decision to extend the adventure with the Rossoneri.
