A former ASSE who became a consultant, Jean-Michel Larqué was extremely pessimistic for the future of Olympique Lyonnais by John Textor.

The end of the season of Olympique Lyonnais is increasingly tense. Under the threat of relegation to Ligue 2 by the DNCG, the John Textor club must garner liquidity. A qualification in the Champions League could have helped him. Problem, the Rhone club is no longer even European two days before the end of the season. For some observers, mass is already said and the future is very dark for the Gones.

Asked about the subject on Friday, Jean-Michel Larqué drew up a black carbon board of the Lyon situation. The RMC consultant went there frankly in his analysis, targeting John Textor very specifically. “I will not entrust him with my wallet or even my wallet if I had one because he is surrounded from all sides. The boat flows, but I hold the bar. (…) OL's accounts, supporting figures, do not improve a stint at the DNCG to the next. In general, it's not going in the right direction. »»

For the former AS Saint-Etienne player, a recent information validated this negative observation. “I would be satisfied with one thing. There is an organization that has the right figures currently, it is UEFA. And UEFA is in negotiations to sanction Olympique Lyonnais with a small trifle (…) of ten million euros. We are on a negotiation at ten million euros because OL does not respect its commitments. »»

“Nasser, Nasser, Nasser, I'm drowning …”

Then Jean-Michel Larqué mentioned this famous non-qualification in C1 which is looming more than ever before arriving at his conclusion: “I do not see where the hope for Lyon supporters is. (…) Nothing is done. The boat flows. »» But the former binomial of Thierry Roland wanted to bring an important precision: “I make a difference between OL and Textor. I think Textor is cooked. It is so cooked that he was forced to make amends and come to kneel before Nasser al-Khelaïfi. 'Nasser, Nasser, Nasser, I'm drowning, send me a buoy'. »»

There are two Ligue 1 games left in Lyon to hope to hang in extremis the qualification or the preliminary round of the Champions League. But the task promises to be cotton with a trip to Monaco this Saturday (9 p.m.) and the reception of Angers on May 17. For their part, the Lyon supporters cross their fingers.
