PSG broke certain records this season, Presnel Kimpembe too. However, the latter is not very rewarding.

On February 4, Presnel Kimpembe made a comeback to competition. Luis Enrique had brought him into play in the 81st minute of the knockout stages of the Coupe de France, opposite Le Mans.

The central defender of Paris Saint-Germain had not played since February 26, 2023, during a match against Olympique de Marseille, during which he had been the victim of a break in the Achilles tendon. In total, the unavailability duration of number 3 Ile -de -France will have been 1030 days. This is the longest period of this type for a Ligue 1 player in the 21st century, according to
Sports premium.

The native of Beaumont-sur-Oise, who receives 640,000 brut per month in the capital, is ahead of Yoann Gourcuff in this classification of “crystal players”. The former Girondins de Bordeaux playmaker had found himself far from the field for 860 days. Neymar completes this poorly rewarding podium with 741 days of absence.

Kimpembe, a fame playing time

Since his return to competition, after practically two years without playing the slightest official match, Presnel Kimpembe was only entitled to five entries with the first red and blue team. In order to find a little more pace, he had asked to play with the Hopes group. Standing a friendly match against Nîmes on April 11, he was guilty of a fault in the penalty area, causing a penalty.

Arrived at the pre -training center of the Ile -de -France club in 2005, the 2018 world champion was linked to PSG until June 2026. He had extended his contract in December 2023, at a time when his playing time was already very uncertain.
