It’s a little late Christmas gift for Ligue 1 aficionados. DAZN, the main broadcaster of the French championship, has once again launched a promotional offer for the end of the season.
The new subscription amount? It is set at 69 euros for the end of the championship. An offer valid from this Friday, January 3, until February 3. And which represents a further substantial reduction compared to the prices charged since the start of the season.
With this subscription at 69 euros until May, we therefore arrive at a monthly price of 13.80 euros. We are therefore very far from the amounts chosen by DAZN at the launch, i.e. 39.99 euros per month (without commitment) or 29.99 euros per month with a 24-month commitment.
DAZN was very wrong
Here is once again confirmation that DAZN had made a mistake with these prohibitive prices, as Vincent Labrune recognized at the end of December. “They may have made a mistake by hitting the prices a little hard at the start, the president of the LFP confided in Le Parisien. But we all learn as we go. We are fully behind them. »
DAZN was announced very far from the number of subscribers hoped for a few weeks ago. A bar had been set at 1.5 million registrants, and some media claimed that there were three times fewer. The British platform hopes to recover by changing gear.
