Elected Lille player of the year, the Canadian striker gave an interview to The Voice of the North. An interview during which he did not rule out a possible contract extension in the coming weeks.
“ Like the president Olivier Létang said it several times, there are discussions. We talk and, after that, no decision is made. We are talking. The door is never closed. It’s 50-50,” he said.
For his part, president Olivier Letang closes the door to a departure this winter despite the interest of several European clubs for his center forward. “ There will be no departures in January. There is no question that a player, who is an important player for the team, efficient for the team, will leave us in January,” he said quickly. The message is clear.
The Canadian international should therefore be present at the end of January within Bruno Génésio’s squad who impressed in this first part of the season. The Mastiffs are 4th in the ranking in Ligue 1 and 8th in C1.
