Mid-season, FC Barcelona members had the opportunity to give their opinion on the work of Hansi Flick, appointed coach this summer. Between high expectations and difficult context, has the German technician managed to convince the supporters?
According to a survey carried out by Mundo Deportivo, the verdict is largely positive. With an average rating of 7.95 out of 10, Flick benefits from significant support from members. The majority of voters (61.66%) gave it a score of 8, while 33.66% opted for a 7. In contrast, only 3% gave it the minimum score of 5, a sign that Flick was able to establish a certain general satisfaction.
The qualities of Flick that seduce
Asked about the technician’s strong points, 48% of participants praised his work to improve the individual players, which appears to be his greatest success. In second place, 25.66% of fans highlight physical preparation, a crucial aspect to maintain the competitiveness of the team. Offensive play (14.33%) and management of defensive tactics (9.33%) complete the main assets cited by supporters.
An encouraging but perfectible assessment
Under the leadership of Flick, Barça has been able to maintain a good level of performance, despite financial constraints and a sometimes limited workforce. Third in La Liga at Christmas, the club remains in the race for the top and has qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League. However, points lost against mid-table teams in the league demonstrate that there is still significant room for improvement. In addition, the Blaugrana have only taken two small points in their last six games.
With a first part of the season considered generally satisfactory, Flick now has the cards in hand to transform these promises into success during the second part of the year.
