After OM-Lille, the 15e act of the French championship gave birth to another spectacular display this Saturday evening, between Auxerre and Lens. In this game played at a fast pace and rather controlled on the part of the visitors, the two teams went blow for blow, until leaving each other back to back.

Twice the Lensois led on the scoreboard, thanks to El Aynaoui (22e) and Nzola (45e), but twice the Auxerrois, valiant and combative, were able to come back to the score thanks to Perrin, with a superb free kick (31e), and Osho (73e). Each of the two teams then missed the opportunity to make a difference.

A loser who doesn’t help anyone

At the accounting level, this parity result allows Racing to temporarily climb into sixth position, ahead of Nice. But the target of three victories was not achieved. For Auxerre, eighth and limited to two units for three days, Europe also remains three lengths distant.
