It’s an inevitably unwelcome tile, a few days before a gala poster in the great history of Brest Stadium. Friday evening, Pierre Lees-Melou had to give up his place after a leg injury, during the Bretons’ match in Monaco (2-3).
This relapse recalled the technical leader of Brest to the infirmary. Lees-Melou should no longer be able to return to the field in official competition before 2025. Brest will therefore have to do without its strong man to resist one of the competitor’s most formidable armadas.
Lees-Melou, a difficult part to replace
In this context, Eric Roy’s choices will be scrutinized for the midfielder. The Brest coach should rely on a Camara-Magnetti-Fernandes trio in the midfield. At the forefront, Balde and Doumbia could support the Ajorque control tower.
The defense should be classic, with a central Chardonnet-Le Cardinal hinge, while Lala and Amavi are expected to start on the sides. Bizot will hold his place in the goals.
The expected composition for Brest : Bizot – Lala, Chardonnet, Le Cardinal, Amavi – Camara, Magnetti, Fernandes – Balde, Ajorque, Doumbia.
