A Paris-Madrid final. That’s what’s looming for the Julian Alvarez saga. It’s no secret that the 24-year-old Argentinian is tired of his substitute status at Manchester City. He wants to join a club that will allow him to play in a starting role and play in a series of matches. Paris Saint-Germain is ready to offer him all that, as well as a nice little jackpot. We recently told you that the capital club has started negotiations with the Citizens and the player, to whom a contract offer has been submitted.

But the residents of the Parc des Princes are not the only ones on the case. Indeed, Atlético de Madrid also wants to enlist the Argentinian world champion. Moreover, a first proposal has been formulated according to Skysports. It is an offer of 55 million euros, with bonuses that could push the bill up to 70 million euros. But this Monday afternoon, the Daily Mail reveals new information on the subject. The English media explains that Atlético has offered to include João Félix in the Julian Alvarez deal.

João Félix on loan + money for Julian Alvarez

So, the Spanish want to loan City the Portuguese, who does not fit into their plans and who has already been followed by the English champions in 2023. This is a one-season loan with an option to buy him permanently. In addition to that, the Colchoneros will add a nice sum of money to convince the Skyblues. The amount has not been leaked, but we know that the English have set the price of Julian Alvarez at €87.3 million and that they are expecting a little more than €11 million in bonuses. By including João Félix in the operation, the Madrilenians hope to lower Alvarez’s price and tip the balance in their favor.

THE Daily Mail believes that the Colchoneros are best placed to welcome the player, who is under contract until June 2028. The British publication explains that the Argentine is “looking forward to joining Atlético” where his compatriot Diego Simeone officiates. Even if Manchester City wants to keep him, Julian Alvarez has clearly made his choice. And if the Spaniards are one step ahead, this file is far from being closed. Paris can still interfere and there is no guarantee that City will agree to recruit João Félix. More in the next episode…
