OL are preparing to let one of the main players of their first team leave.

In financial difficulty, OL is obliged to slim down during this transfer window. And the next candidate for a departure is center back Jake O’Brien.

The Irish international is likely to head to England. Everton Toffees have rolled out the red carpet for him and are therefore set to welcome him into their ranks. The transfer fee has not been leaked.

OL loses a key player

According to transfer window expert Fabrizio Romano, an agreement in principle has already been reached with OL management. The player has reportedly received a five-year contract offer and he still has to approve the personal terms of this commitment. Once he has given his approval, he will undergo his medical examination at Goodison Park.

O’Brien will therefore have only stayed one year with the Gones. A single season during which he played 32 matches and scored 5 goals. His most valuable achievement was against Rennes (1-0) in November. The one that allowed OL to go and get its 1er success of the season.
