While PSG players – with the exception of those who played in the Euro or the Copa América – returned to training yesterday, the question of Kylian Mbappé’s replacement is still on the table. The Bondy player left for Madrid and logically leaves a huge void in the attack that will have to be filled with one or two arrivals. The savings made on his salary and PSG’s usual strike force should allow them to recruit a top-level player to, at least try, forget about him.

Xavi Simons, Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Julian Alvarez and even Lamine Yamal are some of the names that have come out in recent months, while the club is also working on reinforcements in defense and midfield. And in the case of the striker who would replace Mbappé, PSG seems to have made a decision as revealed by RMC Sport.

The decision is made

The Parisians have thus set their sights on Osimhen, the Nigerian star of Naples. The media indicates that the interest is mutual, but above all, that PSG is already thinking about how to make room for the player and his installation in Luis Enrique’s offensive system. We also learn that Paris Saint-Germain wants to be optimistic in this matter, even if the negotiations for the player who scored 15 goals in 25 Serie A matches last season will be complicated.

Under contract until 2026 with the Partenopei, Osimhen is on the market and considered transferable by the sulphurous Aurelio De Laurentiis, unlike Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for example. But PSG, like any other interested club, risks having to put a 9-figure sum on the table to enlist the former LOSC player. The summer is going to be lively…
