Although the transfer market closed its doors a week ago, LOSC is adjusting its squad with a new reinforcement.

It is a well-known face among lovers of LOSC. A little over a year after his departure, André Gomes will make his return to Lille. The northern club has decided to bet on the Portuguese international to adjust its squad, a week after the official closing of the summer transfer window.

According to information from L’Équipe, AndrĂ© Gomes was in Lille this Friday morning to undergo the traditional medical examination prior to signing his contract. The classy midfielder has reached an agreement with the LOSC management for a two-season lease.

A measured risk for Lille

By securing the services of André Gomes, Lille is taking a very measured risk since the Portuguese international has the advantage of knowing the club and its environment. Gomes had in fact played one season with the Dogues, during the 2022-23 campaign, in the form of a loan from Everton.

Free since his departure from the Toffees, the Portuguese will therefore arrive for free. His presence will offer a new option to Bruno Genesio in this sector of the midfield, where the tiles are numerous, like the last serious injury of Hakon Haraldsson.
