A player from the France team accumulates physical problems. What deprive him of the end of the Euro?

After starting its Euro 2024 with a short but precious success against Austria (1-0), the France team had two draws in a row, against the Netherlands (0-0) and Poland ( 1-1). It was therefore with pain that the Blues validated their ticket for the round of 16 of the tournament by finishing second in their group behind the Austrians and ahead of the Dutch.

Remaining on the substitutes’ bench against Austria, Kingsley Coman played a full quarter of an hour against the Netherlands, he who replaced Ousmane Dembélé. And while we were expecting the Bayern Munich winger to face Poland on Tuesday, he ultimately did not come into play. And for good reason…

A stiff neck and a creaky calf, Coman not spared from injuries

According to daily information The Team, Kingsley Coman suffered a stiff neck before the match. But that’s not all, the former Parisian still suffers from pain in his calf, which deprived him of last Saturday’s training session. In these conditions, he could not play against the Poles.

Having suffered a knee injury for a long time this season, Kingsley Coman arrived injured at Clairefontaine at the beginning of June. Repeated physical glitches which are not likely to reassure Didier Deschamps, who could instead rely on Randal Kolo Muani or Bradley Barcola. The six days until the round of 16 should, however, allow the Bavarian to recover. But will he be at 100% of his physical capabilities? Nothing is less sure…
