Donnarumma ridiculed

Still as feverish in the air, the Italian goalkeeper will clearly not have been unanimous this season at PSG.

Saturday evening, Gianluigi Donnarumma was the last bastion of Paris Saint-Germain, on the occasion of the French Cup final pitting the capital club against Olympique Lyonnais. And, once again, the Italian international was not impressive in the air, particularly on set pieces.

At the end of the meeting and the Parisian coronation, Daniel Riolo did not fail to scratch the former AC Milan player. “He jumps, you have the impression that he is smaller than when he doesn’t jump, and he misses the ball”, quipped the sports journalist on the airwaves of RMC, in “L’After Foot”. During the Champions League semi-final return against Borussia Dortmund, the number 99 had already remained frozen on his line, unable to prevent Hummels’ opening score.

Donnarumma is still not unanimous

While Keylor Navas leaves the capital club at the end of this season, Arnau Tenas is not guaranteed to become Donnarumma’s understudy. According to The Team, the leaders of the Rouge et Bleu wish to keep the latter under pressure by recruiting a new goalkeeper who could compete with him. They are reportedly negotiating with the Krasnodar club for the recruitment of Matvey Safonov (25 years old), under contract until 2029.

Lille’s Lucas Chevalier and Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper Diant Ramaj could also be part of the avenues studied. However, Donnarumma should retain its status. Indeed, according to RMC Sport, the PSG and the player’s entourage are considering extending his contract, which runs until June 2026. Discussions have already started on this subject.
