Barça: a German goalkeeper in the sights

As FC Barcelona undergoes a major change on its bench with the departure of Xavi, the club is working internally to strengthen the squad for next season. The Catalan team has ticked off the name of a young German goalkeeper, little known to the general public.

Indeed, Sky Sports claims that the Catalans have supervised young goalkeeper Mio Backhaus on several occasions. The goalkeeper belongs to Werder Bremen, but went on loan this season to the Eredivisie, more precisely to FC Volendam, where he was voted best goalkeeper in the championship, despite relegation. The expected arrival of Hansi Flick on the FC Barcelona bench certainly has nothing to do with this choice.
