PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas has decided to throw in the towel for good.
We will no longer see Keylor Navas in the PSG jersey. His departure at the end of the season having been recorded. And we won’t see him with the tunic of his Costa Rican national team either.
Indeed, at the age of 37, he made the choice to end his international career. He will not push until the 2026 World Cup, which will take place not far from home. His cape counter will therefore stop at 114 units.
End of story for Keylor Navas
Navas will have participated in three World Cup finals with the Ticos. The most notable was the first country. He was the great architect of a historic qualification for the quarter-finals of the flagship tournament, after notably extricating himself from the group of death.
Navas has only played 6 matches for PSG this season.
If he stops the selection, Navas has not yet indicated whether or not he intends to continue his career at the club. A return home cannot be ruled out for the three-time French champion goalkeeper.
Against Metz last weekend, Navas only played his 6e match of the season with Paris. The former Real player was notably deprived of a match at the Parc during the reception in Toulouse. Luis Enrique kept him on the bench. A choice which was particularly strongly criticized by PSG followers.
