Kylian Mbappé and Emmanuel Petit have certain similarities. Even if they do not occupy the same position on the field and do not have the same style of play, the two, trained at AS Monaco, can boast of having scored in the World Cup final, contributing as well as the successes of the France team in 1998 and 2018. But now, having 28 years of difference, the generation gap can be felt between the former defender and the future Real Madrid striker. And often in this case, the elder disapproves of certain actions of his younger brother. This is exactly the case for Emmanuel Petit with KM7. Now a columnist on RMC, the former Chelsea player did not miss the number 7 of PSG. Having announced his departure at the end of the season, the latter went to Cannes to attend the festival in recent days, a stone’s throw from his last match with Paris in the Coupe de France final.

A behavior which enraged Petit who turned on Mbappé on RMC: “That’s enough, he’s tired of all this. You have to try to refocus, to come down from the clouds a little and gain a certain humility like he had at the start of his career, it was refreshing. I was your first supporter but today you’re tiring me. If I could take you to the airport to go to Madrid, I would, it makes me so drunk. If he wins the trophy or has a great match, it will save all the lousy weeks. Last week’s tribute was ridiculous. There are, on the other hand, two enormous egos confronting each other. I don’t have the feeling that Mbappé has a big desire to play tomorrow.» Obviously, like Marcel Desailly and Emmanuel Petit, certain 1998 world champions are exasperated by Kylian Mbappé…
