PSG plans to pay for the services of an Algerian defender during the next transfer window.

Paris plans to add new touches to its defensive sector. The main objective is to bring in a new center back, which could be Lille’s Leny Yoro. But, the club does not rule out strengthening on the sides. And in particular on the left.

With the uncertainty surrounding the physical state of Nuno Mendes, the French champion is eyeing a new full-back. And among his targets is Rayan Ait-Nouri, the Wolverhampton member. The information comes from the Algerian daily Compétition.

The first Algerian for PSG in 18 years

Ait-Nouri has already played in Ligue 1 since he broke through at SCO Angers. A few years ago, he had some very attractive performances against the Ile-de-France residents. He has since left for England but the decision-makers at PSG have not lost sight of him.

Ait-Nouri is coming off a very convincing season on a personal level with Wolves. He has also just been elected to the Premier League team of the season. Still having good room for improvement, he could be an interesting addition to Luis Enrique’s training.

There has not been an Algerian international in the squad since a certain Mohamed Benhamou, a replacement goalkeeper who worked for the club between 2003-2006.
