Arturo Vidal would have liked to play for Real Madrid

Returning to his training club Colo-Colo in Chile, Arturo Vidal (36 years old) has a very rich European career behind him. Arriving at the age of 20 in Germany at Bayer Leverkusen (2007-2011), he was then one of Antonio Conte’s base men at Juventus (2011-2015). After three seasons at Bayern Munich (2015-2018), the Chilean signed with FC Barcelona to try to win a Champions League which eluded him. His two seasons in Catalonia (2018-2020) did not result in European success, which led him to Inter Milan (2020-2022) then to leave Europe for Brazil (2022-2023) . El Guerreroas he is nicknamed, would have wanted in another club.

“I would have liked to play for Real Madrid” he admitted to the media TNT Sports. With Barça, however, the Chilean scored the fifth goal of his first Clásico (5-1 in October 2018). He also admitted that Barça 2015 was the most difficult team he had to face during his career.
