Roma won the Roman derby yesterday with the lowest score (1-0). Against Lazio, with whom Roma shares the Stadio Olimpico, the two clans of supporters deployed their tifos. However, anti-Semitic and racist banners and chants quickly spoiled the party. The derby also attracted former players including Stefan Radu, the left back who played with Lazio from 2008 until last season. The problem is that the Romanian was seen wearing a jacket with a Nazi insignia embroidered on it.

As reported La Repubblica, the former player was at the Curva Nord, in the heart of Lazio supporters. In a photograph taken by supporters, we see Hitler's Schutzstaffel logo on the sleeve of his sweatshirt: the SS symbol was therefore associated with Lazio. Bad publicity for a club already strongly impacted by the racist and xenophobic acts of its supporters. A new story which therefore degrades the image of the Italian club.
