Despite the ugly defeat conceded against Germany on Saturday, Eric Di Méco considers that there is no reason to worry about the France team.

The Blues started the year very badly three months before Euro 2024. Opposing Germany in a friendly on Saturday, Didier Deschamps' men lost 2-0 at Parc OL after a performance particularly sluggish.

However, Eric Di Méco is not worried, convinced that it is only an accident and that the German players were differently motivated than the Blues. “Sometimes you lose against someone stronger than you and there is no explanation. For me, the accident thesis holds up. It’s a special moment in a season. Compared to the France team, Germany needs more reassurance, there are even players who are playing their part”he confided to the microphone of RMC.

The former full-back is convinced that the Blues will present a completely different face at the Euro. “We have to stop scaring ourselves. Deschamps has been coach for 12 years. How many times have we worried about the France team? It's true that there is no identified game that excites us. On the other hand, it’s a war machine when there’s a big competition”he added.
