The Montpellier residents took the full brunt of PSG's offensive strike force on Sunday at La Mosson.

Montpellier believed the feat was possible. Trailing 2-0 after just 22 minutes, Michel Der Zakarian's men equalized just before going to the locker room.

But the second half was one-sided and the Parisians finally won 6-2 at La Mosson, Kylian Mbappé scoring a hat-trick. Teji Savanier, in all the good Montpellier moves, could only bow.

“I don't know if they are stronger, I don't remember the first leg (3-0 for PSG, November 3). But in any case, they have a great team. We saw them, we conceded 6 goals… It’s a bit of a pain in the ass but we’re going to have to bounce back to get there,” he said after the match at the Prime Video microphone.
