After Maurizio Sarri stepped down as coach, Lazio was looking for his replacement. The Romans seem to have found his successor in the person of Igor Tudor. According to Italian media, President Claudio Lotito met Igor Tudor and his agent last night. The Croatian and the Italian club have reportedly agreed on a contract lasting until 2025 with one additional season. The completion of the lease should take place in the coming days.

The former OM coach, who left the club after only one season, knows Serie A very well. Former central defender of Juventus for almost ten years, he was then coach of Udinese (2018- 2019) and Verona (2021-2022). His name had already been mentioned to replace Rudi Garcia at the end of last year for the Napoli bench.
