Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz is ready to take charge of the Algerian selection. But under certain conditions…

Algeria will perhaps soon have a new coach. Even if the dispute with Djamel Belmadi has not yet been resolved, the local federation is eyeing a new coach. She would have already made her choice. This one would be on Carlos Queiroz.

Queiroz will receive less than Belmadi

According to several consistent sources, Walid Sadi, the boss of the FAF, would have set his sights on the former Real Madrid coach. An offer has even already been sent to this technician and the response is expected during the week.

Queiroz would demand a salary which would be around €150,000 per month. A significant sum, but which is less than what Belmadi received. And this is almost the only request he submitted to his interlocutors. He would also be ready to work with local staff. Former international Karim Ziani would be tipped to be his deputy.

Queiroz, who has been free since his departure from Qatar, would have already had time to make a diagnosis of the ills from which the Greens suffer. For him, it would be “a primarily mental problem” and he believes that Algeria has one of the best squads in Africa at an intrinsic level.
