After their victory against Liverpool, Arsenal followed up with a 6-0 victory at West Ham on Sunday. A nightmare afternoon for Alphonse Areola, the French goalkeeper of East London.

There was no suspense in the London derby on the program for the 24th day of the Premier League, Sunday afternoon, between Arsenal and West Ham. The audience at the London Stadium, in the east of the capital, even left the venue before the end of this offensive demonstration which ended with a score of 0-6…

Alphonse Areola could do nothing against the attempts of the Gunners who were completely on fire. The visitors piled up the goals at the end of the first period, with goals from defenders William Saliba (32nd) and Gabriel (44th), a penalty from Bukayo Saka after a foul by the French goalkeeper (41st), and a nice strike from Leandro Trossard (45th+2).

Saka in history, Rice apologizes

In the second half, Saka scored his double, before a terrible long-range strike from the former Hammers captain, Declan Rice, who did not celebrate (66th). Saka becomes, at 22 years and 159 days, the youngest Arsenal player to reach the 30-goal mark since a certain Frank Stapleton in 1978.

After this fourth success in a row, Mikel Arteta’s team will have the opportunity to take three new points at Burnley next Saturday, while Liverpool, leader with two points ahead, will travel to Brentford, and Man City, at tied with Arsenal in 2nd place, will challenge Chelsea.
