Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has reacted to rumors that he is a potential future Liverpool coach.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has assured the German team’s fans of his commitment.
The young Basque coach is tipped to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. The German will leave Anfield at the end of the season, after a romance of nine aces. But the person concerned does not see himself anywhere other than the BayArena for the moment: “Speculation is normal, but I am focusing on Bayer Leverkusen. I’m very happy here, with these players.”

“I don’t know what awaits me, but I don’t want to think about it right now,” added the coach of the current Bundesliga leader, thus brushing aside rumors of a signing for his former club. Note that in addition to Liverpool, Bayern Munich would also be considering him for their technical bar.
Regarding Klopp’s departure, Xabi Alonso said: “The news about Klopp was a surprise, obviously. I respect and admire him for what he has done at Liverpool. For now, I’m enjoying what I’m doing here in Leverkusen, I’m enjoying a valuable journey.”
