Unwanted at Real Madrid for several seasons, Mariano Díaz (30 years old) bounced back this summer in Seville to try to relaunch his career. The Dominican plays more than in previous seasons, but nevertheless fails to win in Andalusia. For the Copa del Rey match against Atlético de Madrid this evening, Mariano Diáz was not selected in Quique Flores’ squad. His coach prefers to leave him aside for this very important match.

Returning from injury after more than a month of absence due to a foot injury, the former OL and Real Madrid player will not have the opportunity this weekend to score his first goal with Sevilla . Quique Flores also chose not to take Hannibal Mejbri, recruit from Manchester United. The Sevillians will, however, be able to count on the return of their world champion Marcos Acuña and Norwegian goalkeeper Orjan Nyland.
