Barça-Real, it’s official!

Winner of Osasuna (2-0), FC Barcelona joined Real Madrid in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, organized in Saudi Arabia.

The Clasico will take place! The day after Real Madrid’s victory against Atlético (5-3 ap), FC Barcelona joined its historic rival in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, dominating Osasuna on Thursday evening in a slightly less spectacular encounter (2 -0).

Barça provided the essentials in a period where Xavi’s team is far from offering a flamboyant game. After a slightly timid first period, it was Robert Lewandowski who broke the deadlock on a serve from Ilkay Gundogan (1-0, 59th). Entering the game immediately, Joao Félix had a good break point, repelled by the Basque goalkeeper (68th). And while Osasuna pushed to equalize, notably with this strike from Ante Budimir repelled by Inaki Pena (78th), Lamine Yamal finally killed the suspense in added time (2-0, 90th+3).

There will therefore be a new Barça-Real on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, for a remake of last year’s final won by the Blaugrana (3-1). However, it is the Catalans who have revenge to take, after their defeat at home in the first leg in the league, with a double from Jude Bellingham (1-2).
