England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered an injury forcing him to take a period of rest.
The bad news came to Liverpool. The Premier League club announced the unavailability of Trent Alexander-Arnold, injured in the knee during the match against Arsenal (2-0) in the FA Cup on Sunday, for several weeks.
“Trent hyperextended his knee in the last game, explains Pepijn Lijnders, Jürgen Klopp’s assistant, on the official LFC website. He tore his lateral ligament a bit and needs time to rest. He will be away for several weeks (…) We will really miss him “. At a press conference, however, the Dutch technician declared that TAA would be “absent probably three weeks”.
The right-back, author of 2 goals and 9 assists in 25 matches this season, is expected to miss the League Cup semi-final first leg against Fulham this Wednesday. He could also be absent for the return match against the Cottagers and during the trip to Bournemouth.
