The news broke during the end-of-year holidays. Little used by Alvaro Arbeloa with the Real Madrid U19s, whether in the league or even in the UEFA Youth League, Elyaz Zidane should leave Real Madrid. The youngest Zizou (18 years old) is struggling and feels that it will be difficult to get playing time, as promotion with Real Madrid Castilla promises to be difficult.

In recent hours, the Spanish media have unanimously revealed that his future should be written with Betis. A nice way out for the French U19 international (6 caps), since the Andalusian team has been one of the best teams in the country for a while now. It is Oscar Carazo, Betis recruiter and former Real Madrid until 2019, who is behind this operation.

Zidane to plug the holes?

But Elyaz Zidane should not yet expect to combine with Isco or Nabil Fekir upon his arrival in Seville. As indicated by several publications such as Marca, Betis wants him to strengthen its B team, which currently plays in the fourth division. Where Real Madrid’s B team, Real Madrid Castilla, is in the third division.

It would thus strengthen Betis B, which will lose its left side Nobel Mendy. The latter will be promoted to the A to cover the various absences and injuries that there are in the first team, and Zidane will therefore come to replace him. Suffice to say that Elyaz Zidane is still quite far from being able to imagine playing on the pitches of La Liga every weekend…
