Less than three months after his appointment as Birmingham City manager, Wayne Rooney has been sacked.
After a stint at DC United in Major League Soccer, Wayne Ronney was named coach of the Birmingham City first team last August. Less than three years later, his adventure with the Championship club is already over.
According to several English media, notably The Mirror and the Daily Mail, the former Manchester United striker has been dismissed. At the time of his appointment as manager, Birmingham were in sixth place in the table. From now on, he finds himself stuck in twentieth place (out of 24). Rooney has only two victories in fifteen matches played.

After a very high-level playing career, Wayne Rooney’s reconversion into coaching is currently turning into a fiasco. Before Birmingham, his spells at Derby County and DC United had already ended in failure. Over his entire coaching career, the Liverpool native has only won 26.1%. Which club will now dare to hire his services?
