The year 2024 promises to be quite lively for Real Madrid. However, management has already done some homework in advance and, for example, completed the coach’s file quite quickly, with this extension of Carlo Ancelotti who will therefore still be on the sidelines at the Bernabéu next season. And that’s not all. Currently, Real Madrid has several players spread across the four corners of Spain but also Europe who belong to it, or at least in part. They are either on loan, or they have been sold with more than affordable buyback clauses. This is the case of Miguel Gutierrez, who is a hit with Girona, co-leader of La Liga with the Merengues.

The 22-year-old left-back trained at La Fabrica was sold to Girona for 5 million euros last summer, after a particularly successful first loan. In this deal with the Catalan team, Real Madrid still made sure to have a buyout option, just in case… And it felt pretty good, since the Madrilenians can repatriate him at any time for only 8 million euros. And this is what the club from the Spanish capital intends to do, as explained Mundo Deportivo.
Real Madrid has already made the decision to exercise this buyout option at the end of the season. The question now is whether he will be resold immediately to generate added value, his market value being much higher than the amount that the Merengues will pay, or whether he will be integrated into the first team. Even if the Merengues already have Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia in this position, in addition to Eduardo Camavinga who helps out brilliantly, the first two have not been completely satisfactory, and Gutierrez could be a more than interesting recruit for Carlo Ancelotti…
