Manchester City will still have to do without their top scorer. Author of 14 goals in 15 Premier League matches, Erling Haaland had started his season perfectly, before being stopped in his tracks. Injured and sidelined for several weeks, the Cyborg does not yet seem able to play again. In any case, this is what Pep Guardiola confirmed at a press conference on Friday, before facing Sheffield United this Saturday (4 p.m.) for the 20th day of the Premier League.

When a journalist asked the Spanish coach if Erling Haaland was training with the team, he replied: ” No. Only Kevin (De Bruyne) trains with us. But I don’t know, I still haven’t spoken with the doctors, so we’ll see. But the closest (to a return) may be Kevin.. There is still uncertainty for the Norwegian, since even Guardiola does not really know where the striker is at with his injury. That being said, the Cityzens will have to get the job done even without their star, and that starts today against Sheffield.
