Official: The SPL formalizes a big change for 2024-2025

Last summer, Saudi Arabia was the main attraction of the summer transfer window. Guided by the PIF, several Saudi teams have managed to secure the services of numerous players from the best teams in the Old Continent.

However, all teams could only have 8 non-community players in their ranks. A rule which limited certain teams during the last transfer window.

But this summer, things will change. Indeed, this Friday, the Saudi league announced that 10 foreign players will now be authorized in the Saudi Pro League squad from the 2024-2025 season.

A total which should quickly be reached by the top names in the Saudi Pro League next season. The 2024 summer transfer window should once again be very hectic in the Gulf country.

The Saudi league is gaining popularity and is increasingly followed by various observers around the world. New football stars could join Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema or even Neymar in the championship. To be continued…
