Ronaldo speaks out on the Super League

This Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo liked an Instagram post mentioning the potential creation of the Super League.

At the end of 2023, the project of European Super League resurfaced. The founders of the competition have in fact published a clarified and more detailed version of its progress, and on Thursday, European justice gave its approval for the launch of this Super League. News that is still far from unanimous since many clubs opposed this project.

Far from all this, Cristiano Ronaldo, who continues his adventure with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has discreetly expressed his opposition to the Super League project. On his Instagram account, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner actually liked a post… from a Montenegrin D3 club. THE FC Fans United had published a video on Friday in which he explained that the Super League project would prevent him from realizing his dreams of greatness by continuing to climb the national and even European levels. “Please don’t take away our dreams. Don’t let the Super League be created. Let us and all the small clubs continue to dream”we could read in this video.

Having become viral, this video was even shared by the official UEFA account, Luis Figo and Andriy Shevchenko.
