Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is at the heart of a new controversy after ignoring fans who came to meet him in Saudi Arabia.
With a foot injury, Erling Haaland cannot play in the Club World Cup with Manchester City. The Norwegian international was, however, traveling with his teammates for the final match against Fluminense, which will take place this Thursday at the King Abdullah Stadium.

While passing through a shopping center in Jeddah to do some shopping, the European goleador was allegedly guilty of a bad gesture. The Leeds native would have simply ignored several children who came to meet him. According to Giovanna Costi, the partner of Ganso, the Fluminense attacking midfielder, the native of Leeds would have boycotted his son and other fans who hoped to interact with him.
“It was HORRIBLE,” Costi wrote on Instagram. Henrico is horrified! He was a fan! He doesn’t even want to say his name now… There were only six children, they couldn’t come close, he didn’t even greet them from afar. He acted as if they didn’t exist.”

Karina Xavier, the partner of defender Samuel Xavier, also expressed her indignation. “I still can’t believe Haaland didn’t say hello to the kids who are his superfans, that he didn’t even look at them,” she wrote. Accusations to which Haaland has not yet reacted.
