After Eugénie Le Sommer and Selma Bacha, OL lost another French international, their captain Wendie Renard, during the victory against FC Fleury 91 (1-3), Saturday in D1 Arkéma.

The week is not completely perfect for OL women. After their third victory in the Champions League against Brann Bergen (3-1), Tuesday, Sonia Bompastor’s players scored their 11th victory in as many D1 Arkméa days, Saturday afternoon (1-3), thanks to goals from Damaris Egurrola, Ada Hegerberg and Lindsey Horan (Kadidiatou Diani and Amel Majri were assists).

The Fenottes, however, played without Selma Bacha and Eugénie Le Sommer, currently unavailable, and they even lost their defensive framework Wendie Renard. The Lyon captain left with an injury, hit in the hip, after a quarter of an hour of play (19th minute). A hard blow for the 34-year-old player, who rarely has the opportunity to breathe between OL and the French women’s team.

The Lyonnaises coach will give news of her outstanding French internationals on the eve of the fourth Women’s Champions League match against SK Brann, next Thursday. This will be the last meeting of the year for the reigning French champions.
