Kylian Mbappé and the French national football team take a stand against bullying. The entire team has shown their support for the fight against bullying in schools. In a video released on November 16, the players encourage children who are victims of bullying to speak out.

“If you are a victim of bullying, it is not something to be ashamed of. Do not keep it to yourself. There are many people who are here to help you. Your friends, your family, your teachers… There is even a number you can call: 3018. Speaking out will not make the problem worse, on the contrary, it can solve it,” the team stresses in the video, which was shared by the Minister of National Education, Gabriel Attal.

Minister Attal, who shared his own experience of being bullied, thanked the team for their support.

The Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne, has promised a “general mobilization” in the fight against bullying. She called for a “collective awakening” on the National Day Against School Bullying on November 9. “We can see that there are still too many adults who are not aware of the scale and impact of bullying on our young people,” said the head of government during a visit to a high school in Paris. She emphasized the importance of adults listening, acting, and not minimizing bullying, while encouraging young people to speak up.

Prime Minister Borne unveiled an inter-ministerial plan against bullying at the end of September, promising a “general mobilization” with the introduction of a unique helpline number, 3018.

A self-assessment questionnaire has also been implemented since the start of the school year to “identify” instances of bullying and “have updated data”, according to Gabriel Attal.

The entire French team has shown true leadership by speaking out against bullying, setting a great example for young people and sparking a nationwide movement to combat this important issue.
